Le Conseil mondial de l’eau vient de faire connaître le compte à rebours d’ici son prochain grand rendez-vous mondial : le 8e Forum mondial de l’Eau. Un événement ne revenant qu’une fois aux trois ans. Et pour la première fois ce forum se tiendra dans l’hémisphère sud. Dans la capitale fédérale du Brésil, rendez-vous est donc donné pour mars 2018, à Brasilia.
Thématique principale: « SHARING WATER » calling upon responsibilities and cooperation / PARTAGEONS L’EAU.
Sharing Water: sharing knowledge and experience, sharing transboundary duties, sharing responsibilities, sharing a common vision, sharing best practices, sharing lessons learned, especially when the resource is scarce or overwhelming, when infrastructures are misfit and the investments absent.
DÉJÀ AU TRAVAIL
Plus de 700 leaders politiques, diplomates, experts et opérateurs, chercheurs et représentants de la société civile de quelque 60 pays sont présentement réunis à Brasilia, jusqu’au 29 juin 2016, afin d’identifier et de prioriser les éléments les plus urgents en matière d’eau dans le monde. On doit aussi y définir le parcours précis d’ici les 18-23 mars 2018, pour la conclusion du cycle au Centre des conventions Ulysses Guimarães de Brasilia.
Le World Water Forum est le plus important événement du genre au monde.

Le Conseil mondial de l’eau regroupe plus de 300 organisations membres, représentant plus de 50 pays à travers le monde. Créé en 1996, son siège social est à Marseille, en France. L’événement majeur du CME, le Forum mondial de l’eau, tous les trois ans, regroupe les parties prenantes du monde entier autour des questions internationales liées à l’eau:
