(Lewiston, Maine) Elizabeth
Dodge, Executive Director, FFA-USA, announced today that she is
leaving the organization as of 22 December, 1999. Dodge was appointed by
the Board of Directors in March 1998 to open the new FFA National
Office. The FFA-USA is a national
organization promoting business with French-speaking countries. The
headquarters are currently in Lewiston, Maine. Lewiston was selected as
the national headquarters following a bid process in September 1997. The
FFA-USA Board of Directors includes members from Maine, New Hampshire and
Rhode Island. Severin Beliveau
of Preti, Flaherty, Beliveau, Pachios and Haley is the President of the
FFA-USA. Since establishing the
office on April 1, 1998, Elizabeth
Dodge has moved the FFA-USA from a good idea to a useful business
organization serving nearly 100 members in four states.
She has planned and accompanied three successful international
business missions, to Canada and to France. The FFA website has received
over 35,000 hits since its innauguration in February 1999. Business
inquiries come by telephone and through the website from countries as far
away as Vanouatou, Switzerland, Senegal
and Benin. Elizabeth Dodge said during
the announcement today: "My thanks go to the members of the Board of
Directors for giving me the
opportunity to build the foundation of the FFA-USA. My thanks go to the
companies who have joined the FFA, those who have participated in our
business missions and to all the people in the Lewiston-Auburn community
who welcomed me and assisted me from my first day on. My tenure with the
national FFA has been very productive and I am pleased with
the results. I hope that, in the future, the FFA-USA will hold on
to its business focus." Leopold & Yare FFA-USA ***** Nouvelles
